Westlife Membantah Bubar Karena Beda Aliran Musik

  London: Kabar bubarnya asal Irlandia, Westlife awal pekan ini banyak menimbulkan kekecewaan dari para penggemarnya di seluruh dunia. Mereka dirumorkan bubar dengan alasan ‘keputusan bersama’ setelah 14 tahun berkiprah di dunia musik. Namun, rumor tersebut akhirnya ditepis oleh Westlife melalui akun Facebook resminya.
“Kami mengucapkan banyak terima kasih kepada semuanya atas dukungan setelah rumor itu beredar. Dukungan yang kami terima beberapa hari ini membuat kami semakin semangat untuk terbaru yang kami tengah kerjakan,” tulis Westlife, seperti dikutip,
 Selasa (25/10).
“Kami sadar kabar itu sangat tidak bagus mengenai pembubaran dengan keputusan bersama itu. Beberapa media juga berspekulasi mengenai hal lain yang menjadi alasan bubar, tetapi sebelum kalian mendengar dari kami secara langsung berita itu belum tentu benar,” tambahnya

Sebelumnya, beberapa media berspekulasi bahwa , yang beranggotakan Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, dan Mark Feehily, itu bubar dikarenakan perbedaan pendapat mengenai aliran musik yang akan mereka bawakan di album berikutnya. Selain membantah kabar itu, Westlife juga berencana akan merilis single terbaru berjudul “Lighthouse” pada 13 November dan album koleksi Greatest Hits 21 November. (Vin)
